My Story
Dr. Dhruti Bal, a Ph.D. holder in Food Science and Nutrition and a Professor of the Food Futures Program at the University of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences (TDU), has been actively contributing to the field of nutrition and wellness since 2007. Her earlier stint included working at the Nutrition Division of St. John's Research Institute, followed by building, nurturing, and leading the Nutrition Science Department at Britannia Research & Development Centre. As one of the few nutritionists in the country with extensive experience in child nutrition from a public health perspective, Dr. Bal has focused on the growth and developmental needs of children, emphasising the importance of specific macro and micronutrients to support their optimal potential from childhood through adolescence. Dr. Bal has collaborated with state governments across the country and the National Health Mission to alleviate malnutrition, especially iron deficiency anemia in vulnerable groups.
With a vast range of expertise in nutrition design and product development, Dr. Bal has worked across diverse food categories, including dairy, juices, bakery, breakfast cereals, protein powders, and cereal bars, enhancing their nutritional quality.
At NutriNEEV, she champions a holistic approach to wellness, integrating food-based strategies with lifestyle modifications to support individuals dealing with metabolic health disorders such as diabetes, thyroid, digestive issues, and heart health concerns. Her work extends across all age groups, ensuring personalised nutritional guidance for overall well-being.

With a doctorate in Food Science and Nutrition and 16 years of experience in Research & Development, nutrition research, and academics, Dr. Bal has developed a deep understanding of food composition and how nutrient content is affected by handling and consumption methods. Her expertise extends to nutrient interactions and the factors that influence their efficient absorption in the body. This knowledge enables her to provide evidence-based, disease-specific, and wellness-focused nutritional recommendations, driving positive health outcomes.
